Frugal Foodies in San Jose takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9:45PM and is hosted at different Downtown locations, depending on the week (see info below).

About the Hosts

Frugal Foodies in San Jose was started by Melissa Ramirez, Jaclyn Carillo, and Daniel Rodriguez at their small rental house near San Jose State University. But when their life paths took all of them out of the Bay Area, a group of other South Bay regulars took things over, and are now hosting Frugal Foodies at revolving locations, most also very close to the University.

To sign up for a particular Frugal Foodies date, send an email to .

Your actual Frugal Foodies event will take place in Downtown San Jose, and you'll get an email with the host's name, address, phone number, and email at the time of registration.

Driving Directions & Public Transit Information

Because Frugal Foodies in San Jose is now rotating from location to location each Wednesday night, you'll get all the location information in an email a few days before your event. Most of the locations are very close to San Jose State, in fact many are within a one-mile radius of one another in/near Downtown San Jose.

Unless there's an event at the university, parking shouldn't be a problem at any of the locations and we suggest that you use Mapquest for directions. If you're traveling by Public Transportation, please use Trip Planner which is a great resource.
